#HappyHanukkah 2015! What Is #Hanukkah, You May Ask?

Happy Hanukkah, everyone! What is Hanukkah, you may ask?

Hanukkah (or Chanukah), which means “dedication” in Hebrew, is an eight-day Jewish celebration that commemorates the rededication of the Second Temple in Jerusalem during the second century B.C., when the Jews had risen up against their Greek-Syrian oppressors in the Maccabean Revolt.

Hanukkah begins on the 25th of Kislev on the Hebrew calendar and usually falls in November or December. Also called the Festival of Lights, the holiday is celebrated with the lighting of the Menorah on each day of the eight days. Jewish traditional foods are eaten, games are played with family, and gifts are exchanged.

It is not the Jewish version of Christmas and that is offensive to equate the two. Please, do not be silly.

To my Jewish friends everywhere, may the lights of the Menorah guide you! God bless and peace!

Well, see ya’ later!

I’m Of Two Minds On #JonathanPollard Release

A lot of news about the possible release of spy Jonathan Pollard. I want to point out that I have been reading up on Pollard while writing this post and I am sick to my stomach at what this man did. He was a spy and violated his plea deal many times. I don’t care if Pollard was spying for Canada, UK, or the Klingon High Council, you get caught and you do the time.

I want to state for the record that I think it is unlikely that Jonathan Pollard is being released now because of any event. If anything, President Barack Obama would want to again thwart Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu who has been trying to get Pollard released since forever.

Laws at the time of Pollard’s sentencing mandated parole after 30 years for federal life-sentence. It just so happens that those thirty years are up. Parole should only be denied Pollard if he had violated significant prison regulations or a “reasonable probability” of recidivism. Personally, I like to see him rot forever in jail. But on the gripping hand we are a nation of laws. I don’t know if Jonathan Pollard has been a model prisoner, but the actual chance of recidivism is anywhere from nil to zero.

I say we let the parole hearing take place and, if he qualifies, let him serve out his parole in Israel. I am sure we can work things out so Jonathan Pollard never leaves Israel. No clemency or pardons, but let the natural legal system work its course. To be brutally honest, I do not see him as a further threat. He has been in jail for thirty years and any info he may have memorize is out-of-date. We have bigger fish to fry than Pollard. He’ll be seen as a national hero in Israel for all of five minutes, because even Israel has bigger fish to fry.

We don’t have to like or respect Jonathan Pollard. We don’t even have to live with Pollard, FedEx his ass to Israel to serve out his parole and let them deal with him.

Well, see ya’ later!

#Walker2016: @ScottWalker’s #IranNuclearDeal Position

I was writing this article yesterday to address this topic, when Allahpundit wrote this article and dared me, DARED ME, to quote him. Or was that the voice in my head? Whichever:

This sounds to me like one of those disagreements that tend to pop up in primaries where two candidates with verrrrry similar views on a policy try to sharpen up their differences by digging in on a proxy issue instead. Is the Iran agreement bad? Terrible, says (JEB) Bush; awful, says (Scott) Walker. Should it be rolled back? Most definitely, says Bush; you betcha, says Walker. When should it be rolled back? Aha – Walker wants to get cracking on January 20th, 2017 while Bush is content to wait until March 2017 or so, when his Secretaries of State and Defense have been confirmed. You can understand why they’d split on that point. Bush wants to show voters that he’s more deliberate on foreign interventions than his brother was – even though George W. waited weeks after 9/11 to invade Afghanistan and then waited for an AUMF from Congress before going to the UN on Iraq. Walker, meanwhile, wants to reassure righties concerned about his lack of foreign policy expertise that he’s so on the ball when it comes to Iran, so keenly aware of the danger that nuclearization poses, that he’d be prepared to skip the inauguration balls if need be to plan an air attack instead. Essentially, he’s signaling knowledge and competence here by stressing his commitment to early action.

Damn you, Allahpundit, for writing a better summation than I could ever write!

Anyone who knows me knows that I hate populism. It is nasty and often just full of emotion. There is no policy, only a talking point to get votes. However I am forgiving the “populist” talking point and I’m siding with Scott Walker here for a number of reasons.

The first of which, Iran is causing most of the blood shed in the Middle East right now. They should be considered a rouge terrorist state and we should have no dealings with them whatsoever. There is no debate that Iran is a bad actor and Gov. Scott Walker isn’t going to pretend otherwise. Waiting and quibbling about “when” you are going to tear up the deal only shows indecisiveness.

Iran often chants “Death To America/Israel” and they are still doing it even after the deal was made. So I am not willing to wait around to see if they will make good on that threat. I am assuming Gov. Scott Walker doesn’t want to find out either.

I mean, come on! Even Sec. John Kerrey is upset at the comments:

U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry said a speech by Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei on Saturday vowing to defy American policies in the region despite a deal with world powers over Tehran’s nuclear programme was “very disturbing”.

“I don’t know how to interpret it at this point in time, except to take it at face value, that that’s his policy,” he said in the interview with Saudi-owned Al Arabiya television, parts of which the network quoted on Tuesday.

“But I do know that often comments are made publicly and things can evolve that are different. If it is the policy, it’s very disturbing, it’s very troubling,” he added.

Ayatollah Khamenei told supporters on Saturday that U.S. policies in the region were “180 degrees” opposed to Iran’s, at a speech in a Tehran mosque punctuated by chants of “Death to America” and “Death to Israel”.

But Sec. John Kerrey and President Barack Obama are going full speed on this deal! What?! No!! Really bad idea, you guys!!

They kidnapped our people for 444 days, the Quds Force killed our people in Iraq, and that was just the beginning of the death and murder they have cause up until this point. They are pretty much the embodiment of “Death Here On Earth” right now and we are handing them the keys to Nuclear Armament. There is no waiting about tearing up this “non-binding” agreement and Governor Scott Walker understands this fact. Walker should then go to Jordan, Kurdistan, Israel, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and forge his own agreement. Get peace deal with Israel and the rest of them, then ask what weapons, intelligence, and money they will all need to defeat these Shi’ite motherfuckers once and for all. I would tell them they will get UNLIMITED support in defeating Sunni extremism too.

Well, see ya’ later!

The Swamp #18

Wax On, Wax Off, with @StateofDaniel-san.

The Swamp #18: #FeminismIsAwful, #MSM, #BDS, @StateofDaniel Guest!

First podcast without Laura, and it was a smashing success! Still looking for co-host however, so please email me for more information.

In this podcast I speak with StateofDaniel about how Feminism drives crazy stuff like how a Med Student tries to make yogurt with ingredients from her vagina. Then we talk about the MSM and how, while we still need them, they need to reform their ways. Then we get to the racist, in my opinion, BDS Movement. Please note that Daniel didn’t know about this subject until I told him about BDS. Still, it was great fun talking to him. But before you listen, check out my Patreon Page!
