#FridayFiction: #100WordChallenge | “Hydration Backpack”

I drop the hydration backpack’s tube from my mouth. My sole concern is not water, but to run!

Pushing myself beyond the wall and sweat pouring down my body, I know he is still behind me and closing. Turning a couple of times to make sure, I know this is the jogger rapist that has stuck three times already.

Just as he was upon me, I reached under the backpack and pulled out the holstered Kahr MK9. Turning around, I shoot three times center mass. He falls dead. I slowly sit down breathless, but unharmed.

I will not be another victim.

This one was a little bit tricky, but I hope I pulled it off. I wanted to write so much more, you would not believe. Enjoy this tale of someone who is not a victim.
