Worried About DragonGate

I haven’t heard from DragonGate in some time and it is beginning to worry me greatly. She hasn’t updated The Logs Of The Sierra Nacho in some time. I have only gotten one email from her since my computer melted (still computerless, by the way). I sent her an email yesterday asking if she is ok, half-joking for her to just tell me if she meet some handsome Italian man. I love her very much and I miss talking to her. I understand she’s in Italy having a good time, but I hope she is ok.

Anyway, I resently got my hands on a copy of “The Belgariad” by David Eddings and I just finished it. All I can say is that it blew my mind. That was the greatest set of books I have read to date. I now want to get started back on my own book as soon as possible. Now I don’t want to be the next David Eddings or JRR Tolkien, but I do want to finish the three plan books before I die.

Well, see ya’ later!

I Met Herman Cain!

I met Herman Cain today. He came to Lake County before the debate tomorrow night.

I also got to hear him speak in person. I have to tell you he is everything you thought he was and more. This guy is unbelievable. He was educated about the issues facing us today, dedicated to making a difference, and highly motivated to get things done. That is why I personally support, and fully endorse, Herman Cain 2012!

Sadly, I didn’t have enough memory in my camera to take video of the event. However someone was able to take video of Cain talking about his 9-9-9 Plan:

I like it. I like it a lot. Details here.

Well, see ya’ later!

Born Under A Bad Sign IV

Hey! Haven’t done one of these posts in a while! Time to dust it off!

*blows*

*dust flies everywhere*

*cough!* bad idea! *cough!*

Here, watch this while I clean up:

You know why I am so unlucky? Because I bring this stuff down onto myself. That’s right, I am an idiot of the highest order! Well, I really don’t believe that right now. However I screwed this up from the get-go and now it’s costing me.

Don Mealey fixed my damned car. After I told them not to. I got a junker who’d give me $350 for the broken car, now I owe Don Mealey a little under $700 and I don’t have even $5 to my name. To top things off, I have a week before it gets even worse for me.

I have not had a job since the end of 2008, my computer is gone, and now my car, which is worth no more than $350, now has twice it’s worth in a repair bill. No one has this kind of bad luck unless they were born under a bad sign.

Well, see ya’ later!

Getting Around The Blackout

I’m currently “watching” the Buccaneers’ game and getting around the blackout.

In the NFL, a local team’s home games will be blacked out in the home team’s market if the game is not sold out 72 hours before kickoff. The blackout extends within a 75 mile radius of the stadium.

Now I am not doing anything illegal by hacking or anything. First, I went to NFL.com so I can see what is going on via stats. Then I found a radio station that I can listen to the game to, which I assume is 75 mile away from Raymond James Stadium. So I am getting my football fix, dispite the blackout.

When life gives you lemons, burn the house down.

Well, see ya’ later!

Never Forget, Never Surrender

On this day we remember not because of what happen, but because we said never again! Never give-in! Never concede! Never forget! Never surrender!

Which brings me to a related subject: I, too, am not surrendering. So I have no car right now. Big deal. I’m still alive right now and that is all that matters. Many people in this world are currently sitting in my postion and they are not giving up. What doesn’t kill me, will only make me stronger. Right?

However, I still need a car. I’ll redouble my efforts to find a job (as if I’m not already looking for one) and will have to cut back my campaigning in the near-term. I have three “must-go-to” events this month and two in October. Other than that, hell yeah I am still running for office. All this means to me, is I just have to work that much harder. I’m down, but I’m not out.

You know, I carry the Gadsden Flag with me wherever I go. It gives me the strength and the motivation to keep going. To me, it is not just a warning to others, but a call to me for action. With it, I am always moving with purpose and direction. Don’t try to get in my way when I have it with me or I will walk through you. People died carrying this flag into battle, so I will not dishonor it or them by backing down now.

Well, see ya’ later!

My Car Is Not Worth $500

Oh. My.

This was going to be a different post. Saying how my car broke down and my adventures getting it to Clermont. I might still get into that part. Might as well. You should always start at the beginning in a story.

Ok, so I was in Tavares at a meeting Wednesday night when my car wouldn’t start. To make a long story short, I spent the night at a friend’s house and then we took it to some dude’s car shop to try to fix it. Thursday, the guy said he fixed it but he still couldn’t get it to turn.

So now it is sitting at Don Mealey and to get myself out from this car, they have offer me $100 for it. Basicly, I’m going to take the money and run. My piece of shit car is frankly not worth a $500+ repair bill. It is going to limit my moblity in the short-term, but I think I can get it replace.

I said, I THINK. I’m not sure. I could be dead wrong. However I have to try.

Well, see ya’ later!

Labor Day 2011

I’m looking out my window and there are some mowers outside mowing my yard… ON LABOR DAY!!

Bless their harts. We offer them some water and they politely decline, noting they have their own water. See, they are the true backbone of the American Labor Workforce out there. I respect these guys. I respect all workers. However I do not like or respect Unions.

Unions may have had a purpose back in the day, but today they are corrupt and are now exploiting their members. My mom used to work for Disney back when I was just a kid. She was part of the Union there and she hated it with a passion. As a single mother, she would often rant that she could use the union dues she paid to feed us kids. And when the Union would threaten to strike, my mom would yell at the TV that she would take the 2%* raise (because she could not work or get paid if the union went on strike) over the 4%* the union was demanding. I will not go into the distrubing stories of union corruption that my dad tells when he worked for Disney during the construction of Epcot.

So I salute those workers who are working today. I saluteall workers and labors everywhere. I wish you the best this labor day. Enjoy.

Well, see ya’ later!

Uncle Bob

Back from my road trip. It was indeed a trip not to be forgotten. The drive from Shady Valley, Tennessee and back is not all that fun, but I did get to know my Uncle Bob. He’s really an uncle my marriage (long story and I don’t want to get into right now), but that really doesn’t matter. He’s really cool and a blast of fresh air. We got along very well. My only real regret is not getting to know him sooner. Uncle Bob, up until a couple of months ago, didn’t live in Florida. He made the trip all the worthwhile.

Anyway, I am looking to do something on the 11th. Don’t want to be sitting at home doing nothing. Anyone have any ideas, please foward them to me.

Well, see ya’ later!
