Letter From DragonGate

I got my first letter from DragonGate over the Thanksgiving week.

*sniff*

I can almost smell her on the letter. I know that sounds kind of weird, but I miss her dearly.

She re-enlisted and got sworn in by General Petraeus himself, which I am happy for her. She now has a secure job until 2014. Whatever happens between us, I know she will be taken care of for some time. The job market here sucks big time.

DragonGate is taking part in NaNoWriMo this year. It’s funny, since I turn her onto NaNoWriMo, I haven’t been able to do it myself. This year I was burn out blogging and campaigning, so I have been taking it easy this month. I will make it a point of order next year to do NaNoWriMo. I also promise to get back on Spoils Of War before then as well.

So, I am happy to hear from her. I will have to get a letter out to her by the end of this week.

Well, see ya’ later!

Golf

Golf. It had to be Golf. It could be worse, but why Golf? Why couldn’t it be Football?

Hello! I am back from Orange Lake! We had a great time over there. I was able to get away from the computer for a couple of days and just have fun. Orange Lake has changed in the last few years. We haven’t been down there so the changes were striking. It used to be a retirement resort, but they have changed it to a family vacation hot-spot. There is nothing wrong with the change and I actually like the changes.

I didn’t rest. No, I was charged with taking Blake around the resort to keep him busy. That is when we discover miniature golf. This was something I thought I would have to force him to play, but he took to the miniature golf courses like a cat takes to catnip! Hell, we had a couple kids Blake’s age living in the next time-share show Blake what real Golf is like and he still wants to learn more about Golf. We even tune into the Golf channel and he watched that for a couple of hours. We finally found a sport and activity for Blake!

Anyway, Thanksgiving 2010 will go down as a memorial one. We found something Blake is interested in, we didn’t spend all our time watching TV, we had great food, and spent time with family. My thoughts however turn to DragonGate, that she can join us at Orange Lake next year. I want to show her what a wonderful place Oranage Lake is for the family.

Well, see ya’ later!

Upcoming Story Teaser

After pulling off my third NaNoWriMo win today, I am going to do my next project on here. I have to get these people out of my head somehow. :)

Late Sunday Night – Nick Brady locked the D-ring into his harness and looked down. It was a twenty five foot drop to the floor of the Fernandez family’s display gallery. The floor and the case protecting the Mayan collar necklace were alarmed, sure Tony usually killed the alarms, but Nick had not managed to avoid ever being caught by assuming his crew, good as they were personally and professionally, had done everything they were supposed to.

Tugging on the harness and the descender to make sure they were good and tight, Nick started lowering himself spider-like from the ceiling and kept an eye on the floor. He’d done recon on the place by visiting the family two weeks ago about their daughter’s grades, which were truthfully horrible. The floor had a laser optic grid about six inches up the walls, and pressure plates under the marble tile. Nick had no desire to be caught, so he wasn’t going to touch the floor.

Dangling in air level with the glass display case, Nick pulled his glass cutter from his belt and clamped onto the display case, quickly and quietly sawing a six inch diameter hole in the case and removing the circle of glass, laying it insolently on top of the case. Gloved hands, Nick had to be religious about avoiding leaving fingerprints, reached in the hole and lifted the necklace from the marble bust that displayed it. He took a closer look and shook his head. “Ancient Mayan necklace on a replica Imperial Rome era bust. Some people should not have nice things.”

Carefully placing the necklace in the velvet pack pouch (more…)

Orange Lake

My grandmother has this place at Orange Lake (that I love, by the way) and I will heading out today. I will be without my computer and internet for the week.

I am the only one in my family that likes the place. It is a time-share place, and the week we have falls on Thanksgiving. The complaints range from having to haul stuff there, to it being too far away. I like it because it’s a nice change from the yearly routine. I feel like an Emo when it comes to this place, because no one understands my feelings for the place.

Well, see ya’ later!

I Miss DragonGate

This sucks. I miss DragonGate. It’s times like this (Thanksgiving and Christmas) that I want to be with the one I love, but she is on the other side of the world.

Although I am sad, I am more than willing to share her with the Army. I told her more than once that I be more than accepting if she makes the Army a career. I will highly recommend to her that she stay in the Army until they no longer wanted her. Then I can have her all to myself.

Well, see ya’ later!

I Hate Fall (Part Two)

I still hate fall, but I may have Sinusitis. In fact, I am sure of it.

I know they say you shouldn’t do any self-diagnosis on yourself, but I don’t really have any money to go to a doctor to figure out what is the problem. If things don’t clear up in a month or two (when this thing becomes chronic), I might just force myself to go a the doctor.

I honestly think the job market here in Florida is getting worse. I say this because there nothing out there. Of the few jobs that are out there, they pile so many qualifiers in there, that they make it impossible to apply for said job.

Well, see ya’ later!

I hate this season. Fall and Spring, I hate them both. However Fall is when I am a complete misable bastard and this has been the worest Fall for me ever. I don’t know, I think there might be something wrong with me.

I don’t know, I never had my tonsils removed. Is there an otolaryngologist that reads this blog?

Well, see ya’ later!
