One July Weekend

The weekend with DragonGate, was just plain awesome. I had such a great time, that I have to say it was the best weekend of my life yet. There are only a few events that could possibly top this weekend.

July 3rd: I pick up Dragon from the airport. We head off for dinner and check into her hotel room. Flipping through the TV and deciding not to go out for the night, we took turns taking a shower and went to bed.

July 4th: We got up early and head quickly to my house to pick up a few things that I left behind and needed. We then headed to the beach and got there around 9:30 in the morning. We got a nice parking spot and spent about an hour and a half at the beach. My Dad was having a party and so we headed over there to enjoy food, drinks, and fireworks. The romanic point of the trip happen when I wanted to sit inside and just talk with Dragon for a few minutes. We sat down and there was this book sitting on the coffee table that had a lot of fun facts in it’s many pages. So I picked it up and Dragon curled up next to me as I read her some of the book. I don’t know about her, but I wanted that moment to last forever. After stuffing ourselves of food, we went back to the hotel and, umm, made our own fireworks!

July 5th: On Sunday, we slept (however I don’t think the word “slept” would be all that accurate) in. Getting up at around noon, we had lunch and headed to Universal City Walk. There we did some light window shopping and then had dinner at Bubba Gump’s. We then topped the evening by catching Terminator Salvation, which we both agreed was a very good movie.

July 6th: Again, we slept in before Dragon had to get on the plane to go back to New Mexico. When we got to the airport, she got her boarding pass and we checked to see if her plane was on time. Once I knew the plane was on time, I told her I didn’t want a long good-bye. So we hugged and kissed and she boarded the plane to fly back to New Mexico.

We did talk a lot of me coming to New Mexico to live there. However first I need a job. So I sent my resume to her and she said she’ll talk to one of the private computer companies there on the base. However I am more than willing to work any job there so I can be with her. I will cut grass with a nail clipper, if that will mean I could be with her in New Mexico.

Overall, it was a great weekend. She told me she had a wonderful time and didn’t regret a thing that we did together. I told her I had a wonderful time too and can’t wait to be with her again. I terribly miss her already, but I know I will see her again and that will keep me going. Ok, on to the pictures (please note, not all pictures taken are shown):

One: Isn’t Dragon sexy? Don’t blame her, it’s bright in Florida!

Two: Dragon went swimming by herself (briefly) and I took this picture of her looking into the horizon.

Three: Me and Dragon together on the beach. See what I mean about a bright sun? She never did get her own sun glasses.

Four: Here is Dragon at my Dad’s house for the party. Again, very beautiful woman.

Five: Me and Dragon again.

Six: Dragon standing outside one of the many shops at Universal City Walk. They used to have a gorilla outside that same shop, but they have removed it. On that note, they also removed the surf board/wave thing and I was sadden that we couldn’t get our picture there.

Seven: Standing in front of a replica of NASCAR’s National Guard car.

Eight: There is a Florida Law saying everyone who visits Florida must get there picture taken here.

Nine: Here is Dragon at Bubba Gump’s with the famous “Run Forrest, Run” sign. Another sign behind it says “Stop Forrest, Stop” and that tells the host that we need something.

Well, see ya’ later!

  • Then she came to visit me and we had a great July 4th Weekend. I am hoping to have many more adventures with her when she gets back from Afghanistan.
