I resently answered an ad about freelance writing for an upcoming magazine called Inked Pleasures and I am super excited about getting published! Since I am a fan of comics, I am thinking of doing an article on "Tattoos and Comics" and what generally what not to do when getting a tattoo relating to comic-books or webcomics. I am hoping to go to a local tattoo parlor to see what an tattoo artist has to say on the subject and ask what kind of crazy comics-related tattoos he's done over the years. I'm taking a pad and paper with me and be reporter look-a-like.
I am so excited, it's not even funny. While doing freelance writing is not what I had envision as being a writer, it will pay and I can add this experince to my portfolio. So far, I've just been an amateur writer and that doesn't say much about me. As I said before, you have to go out and chase down your dreams. You can't just let them come to you. Tom Petty said it best, there's something good waiting down that road and you have to run it down. Well, see ya' later!
