My good friend DragonGate, who is in the Army and station in South Korea, turns 21-years-old today. Well her birthday is on the 17th, but they are a day ahead of us and so I will celebrate with her in spirit. If you have any kind words for her, please tell me and I will forward them to her.
I debated long and hard on what to get her. I know she wanted "The Hound of the Baskervilles" by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, but I wanted to give something to her from the heart. In the end, I got "Myths and Legends From Around the World" by Robin Brockman and I hope she likes it as I have enjoy the book myself. She still hasn't told me what she thought of her Valentine's Day gift, but the fact she hasn't said anything bad about it is a good enough sign that she liked it.
Even before DragonGate joined the military, I was a big supporter of our troops. However now my support has become personal. The increasing attacks on military recruiting centers is very frightening. To think that actual Americans attacking the very people who are deafending them is unreal. Everyone of the men and women in uniform is there by choice. People like DragonGate should be honored for doing what the mojority of us refused to even do. I personally feel bad that I can't fight along side our troops and try to do all I can for them. Even through I was good friends with DragonGate before she join the Army, I am now honored to continue our friendship to this very day.
Well, see ya' later!
