Friday: I got paid. Now normally this is good time, but it turn into a nightmare. I got my check and instead of cashing it at the bank around the corner of where I work, I went across town to go to my bank near the threater so I can see a movie. It turns out the wrong date was printed on the check so I had to go all the way back to where I work and get a reissue check. I did finally go see “The Dark Knight” and “Hellboy II” (both awesome movies by the way) because I be damn to let a little heat (and loss of time and gas) get me down.

Saturday: Everything that can go wrong checking people out and checking people in, generally a bad time. However it paled in the kind of nightmares that awaited me the next few days.

Sunday: The printer went down. So as guests were checking out, I had to hand write them receipts. Then when the printer started working again, we had to print every single receipt for all the 40+ check-outs. Then everytime I counted the cash drawer, it came up either short or over. I won’t bore you with the details, I will say it was the worset day I have ever had at work so far.

Monday (today): My tooth started to hurt, real bad. The pain was so bad, I had to take off work and go get it pulled. I am currently swimming in pain killers right now. I am hoping that

Tomorrow I have off, and I am greatful for that little relief. I am going to stay home, play on the internet, and watch TV. Nothing can go wrong with that plan, right?

We took Blake today to a karate school today to get sign-up for classes. Frankly, Blake’s misbehavior is completely out of control and my Grandmother thinks this will help. I think it will too.

However the kicker comes that this could have all been advoided and save $75 a month. My Grandmother is old and so unless it is extremely major, she has a very live and let live attitude. This means he really has few boundaries.

He still sleeps with his Aunt every night. At five-years-old, he stills wears dipers. He never eats dinner (at least, not with us or a different meal altogether). Blake treats me like I am below him and my Grandmother reinforces this everytime I try to insert my dominance over him.

Frankly, I am Blake’s adult male influance and yet I have no dominance over him. Instead, I am seen as weak and submissive to my Grandmother. There is no end of wrong in that last sentence. On top of everything else, my Grandmother would rather kick me out than to insert any control over Blake or allow me to be seen as an authority figure. I think it comes down to my Grandmother only wanting her to be seen as the authority figure, which is odd because she has no authority over Blake.

So everyone is Kung Fu Fighting. I’m trying to get Blake to respect me, my Grandmother is disrespecting me in front of him, and my Aunt is spoiling him. In the end, no one wins and Blakes loses.
